Managing Connected Devices and Revoking Access

markto.ch allows you to view and control devices where your account is currently logged in. This feature helps you spot unauthorized access and quickly sign out suspicious or old sessions.

How to View Connected Devices

  1. Log in to your markto.ch account.
  2. Click your profile icon or name in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings, Account Settings, Security, Privacy, or Sessions.
  4. Look for a section named one of these:
  • Connected Devices
  • Active Sessions
  • Where You’re Logged In
  • Devices & Logins
  • Manage Sessions
  • Geräte und Sitzungen

If the section exists, you will see a list showing:

  • Device type and browser (e.g., Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone)
  • Approximate location (city or country)
  • Last active date/time
  • Sometimes IP address or login time

How to Revoke Access (Log Out a Device)

Option A: Log out a single device

  1. In the connected devices list, find the unfamiliar or old session.
  2. Click Log out, Sign out, Remove, Revoke, or This device next to it.
  3. Confirm the action (may require re-entering your password).
→ That device/session is immediately signed out.

Option B: Log out from all other devices (most secure)

  1. In the same section, look for a button like:
  • Log out from all other devices
  • Sign out everywhere else
  • Revoke all sessions except this one
  • Log out all devices
  1. Click it and confirm (password may be required again).
→ Every session except your current one is terminated instantly.

What Happens After Revoking Access

  • Affected devices will be logged out the next time they try to load a page or refresh.
  • You remain logged in on your current device.
  • No password change is required (but changing it afterward is recommended).
  • Any new login from a revoked device will need your full credentials again.

When to Use This Feature

  • After using a public or shared computer
  • If you lose a phone/tablet/laptop
  • After noticing suspicious login alerts (if markto.ch sends them)
  • Before/after changing your password
  • If you suspect your account may be compromised

Quick Security Checklist After Revoking

  • [ ] Change your password (Settings → Security → Change Password)
  • [ ] Enable 2FA if it becomes available
  • [ ] Review recent activity (messages, ads posted, profile changes)
  • [ ] Monitor for unusual emails or notifications from markto.ch
  • [ ] Contact support via the “Contact” link if you see unrecognized devices

Troubleshooting

  • No “Connected Devices” section? The feature may not be fully rolled out yet — contact support and ask: “How can I view and log out active sessions on my account?”
  • Device still appears after revoking? Wait a few minutes (cache delay) or force-logout by changing your password.
  • Suspicious activity? Revoke all sessions, change password, and report to support immediately.

Regularly checking and revoking old sessions is one of the best ways to keep your markto.ch account secure — especially if you log in from multiple phones, computers, or browsers.
