Marking an Item as Sold After a Successful Deal on markto.ch

markto.ch allows you to mark your listing as sold to remove it from active search results, stop new inquiries, and keep your profile clean. This is a simple, one-step process after the deal is complete.

Step-by-Step: How to Mark an Item as Sold

  1. Log in to your markto.ch account
    Use the same email/password or social login you used to post the ad.
  2. Go to your account dashboard
  • Click your profile icon or name (top right corner).
  • Select “Meine Anzeigen” / “My Ads” or “Meine Inserate” (the exact label may vary slightly).
  1. Find the sold listing
    Locate the ad you just sold in your list of active or all ads.
  2. Mark it as sold
  • Click on the ad to open it.
  • Look for a button or option like:
    • “Als verkauft markieren” (Mark as sold)
    • “Verkauft” (Sold)
    • A small checkmark icon or toggle labeled “Verkauft / Sold”
  • Click/activate it → confirm if prompted.
  1. Save or confirm
    The ad status changes immediately to “Sold” or “Verkauft”.
  • It disappears from public search results and category listings.
  • It may still be visible in your own “My Ads” section (archived/sold tab) for your records.

Additional Tips After Marking Sold

  • Update your messages (if buyers keep contacting):
    Reply politely once: “Hi, the item has been sold – thanks for your interest!”
    Or set a quick auto-reply if the platform allows.
  • Delete the ad instead (alternative):
    If you prefer it gone completely, look for a “Löschen” / “Delete” button in the same ad management area.
    Sold marking is usually preferred because it keeps a record and prevents accidental reposting.
  • Why mark as sold?
    Stops spam inquiries, improves your profile appearance (shows you close deals), and helps other buyers find available items faster.

It usually takes under 30 seconds. Do this right after pickup/handover while everything is fresh — keeps your account tidy and professional.
