Even if someone gets your password, they can&#8217;t log in without the second factor (usually a code sent to your phone or generated by an app).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Does markto.ch Support 2FA?<\/strong><br>As of the latest available information, markto.ch does <strong>not<\/strong> have a visible, built-in 2FA option in standard user settings (no dedicated toggle in Security or Account sections). Many smaller\/local classified platforms launch without 2FA and add it later. If 2FA becomes available, follow the steps below. If it&#8217;s still missing, use the alternative protections listed at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Set Up 2FA (When\/If Available)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Log in<\/strong> to your markto.ch account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click your profile icon (top-right) \u2192 go to <strong>Settings<\/strong>, <strong>Account Settings<\/strong>, or <strong>Security<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Look for a section called:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two-Factor Authentication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2FA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two-Step Verification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Login Security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the option exists, click <strong>Enable<\/strong>, <strong>Turn On<\/strong>, or <strong>Set Up 2FA<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your preferred method (most common options):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SMS \/ Text message<\/strong> (code sent to your registered phone number)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Authenticator app<\/strong> (recommended \u2013 Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow the on-screen instructions:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For <strong>SMS<\/strong>: Confirm your phone number \u2192 receive and enter a test code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <strong>app<\/strong>: Scan the QR code with your authenticator app \u2192 enter the 6-digit code shown in the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Save any <strong>backup \/ recovery codes<\/strong> displayed (usually 8\u201310 one-time codes).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Write them down or store securely (not in the same place as your password).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These are your only way back in if you lose your phone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>Confirm<\/strong>, <strong>Enable 2FA<\/strong>, or <strong>Finish Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log out and log back in to test: you should now be asked for a 2FA code after entering your password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Happens After Enabling 2FA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Every login (new device, new browser, or after clearing cookies) requires the second factor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trusted devices may skip 2FA for 30 days (if the platform offers \u201cremember this device\u201d).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can disable 2FA later in the same Security section (requires current 2FA code for confirmation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If 2FA Is Not Yet Available \u2013 Strong Alternative Protections<\/strong><br>Until markto.ch adds 2FA, protect your account with these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use a <strong>strong, unique password<\/strong> (12+ characters, mix of letters\/numbers\/symbols; never reuse across sites).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable <strong>\u201cRemember Me\u201d only on personal devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regularly <strong>review active sessions<\/strong> (Settings \u2192 Security \u2192 Active Sessions \/ Where You&#8217;re Logged In) and log out unfamiliar devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep your <strong>registered email and phone number up to date<\/strong> for password reset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never share your password or click suspicious links in messages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log out after using shared\/public computers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor your inbox for any unusual login alerts from markto.ch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact support immediately if you suspect compromise (via footer \u201cContact\u201d link).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quick Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authenticator apps are safer than SMS (no SIM-swap risk).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up 2FA on your email account first \u2014 it&#8217;s the backup for password resets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If markto.ch adds 2FA in the future, enable it right away \u2014 it&#8217;s one of the best ways to secure any account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check your Security settings periodically for new features.
