Logging out securely from your markto.ch account—especially from all devices at once—is an important step to protect your privacy and security. Do this if:
- You used a shared or public computer
- You suspect someone else might have accessed your account
- You lost a phone, tablet, or laptop where you were signed in
- You’re giving away or selling an old device
- You just want to force everyone (including yourself) to sign in fresh for peace of mind
Here’s how to log out completely and securely.
Option 1: Log Out from Your Current Device Only
(Quick logout from one browser or phone)
- Click your profile icon or name in the top-right corner of the page.
- From the dropdown menu, select Log Out, Sign Out, or Logout.
- Confirm if asked.
You are now signed out on that specific browser or device. This does nicht affect other places where you’re logged in.
Option 2: Log Out from All Devices at Once (Full Session Revoke)
This ends every active login except the one you’re currently using.
- Make sure you’re logged in (use a device you trust).
- Click your profile icon or name (top-right) → go to Settings, Account, Security, or Privacy & Sessions.
- Look for a section called one of these:
- Active Sessions
- Where You’re Logged In
- Connected Devices
- Manage Logins
- Devices & Sessions
- You should see a list showing:
- Device type (e.g., Chrome on Windows, Safari on iPhone)
- Approximate location
- Last active time
- Find and click one of these options:
- Log out from all other devices
- Sign out everywhere else
- Revoke all sessions
- Log out from all devices except this one
- Confirm the action (you may need to re-enter your password for extra security).
What happens immediately after:
- Your current session stays active (so you can finish any tasks).
- Every other login (phones, tablets, other computers, browsers) is terminated instantly.
- Anyone trying to use your account on those devices will be signed out and asked to log in again.
- This does nicht change your password—it only closes open sessions.
Extra Security Steps to Take Right After
- Change your password (strongly recommended):
- Go to Settings → Security → Change Password
- Create a strong new password (at least 12 characters, mix of letters, numbers, symbols)
- This blocks anyone who might have had your old password
- Review the sessions list before and after revoking to spot anything unfamiliar.
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) if it’s not already enabled:
- Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication
- Set it up with your phone (via SMS or an authenticator app)
- Check your email for any unusual login alerts from markto.ch.
- Monitor activity for the next few days: watch for unexpected messages, new ads posted, or profile changes.
If You Cannot Log In to Do This
If someone changed your password or you’re completely locked out:
