Scheduling Your Listing: Publish Now or Set a Future Date on markto.ch
markto.ch allows you to control exactly when your ad goes live. You can publish immediately (the default) or schedule it for a future date and time — useful if you’re not ready for inquiries yet (e.g., item still arriving, cleaning needed, or you want it to appear during peak weekend traffic).
How to Schedule or Publish Your Listing
- Start creating or editing an ad
Log in → click “Anzeige aufgeben” / “Post Ad” (top menu or homepage button). - Fill in all required fields
Title, description, price, photos, category, location, contact details. - Look for the publish / schedule option
At the bottom of the ad creation/editing form, you will see:
- A button or dropdown labeled something like:
- “Jetzt veröffentlichen” / “Publish now” (default)
- “Später veröffentlichen” / “Schedule for later”
- “Veröffentlichungsdatum” / “Publication date”
- Click the scheduling option → select a future date and time (calendar picker + time selector).
- Choose your date & time
- Pick any future date (usually up to several weeks/months ahead).
- Select exact hour (e.g., 08:00 or 18:00) — ad goes live at that moment.
- Save/publish → ad is saved as scheduled (not visible yet).
- Was geschieht als Nächstes?
- At the chosen date/time: Ad automatically appears in search results and categories.
- You receive no extra notification — check “Meine Anzeigen” to confirm it’s live.
- You can edit or delete a scheduled ad before it publishes (go to “Meine Anzeigen” → look for “Geplant” / “Scheduled” section).
When to Use Scheduling (Best Use Cases)
- Publish now (default)
- Item ready today
- Want inquiries as soon as possible
- Weekend or evening traffic expected
- Set a future date
- Item arrives tomorrow/next week
- Cleaning/repairs needed first
- Want ad to appear Friday evening or Saturday morning (peak browsing times)
- Avoiding inquiries while you’re away
- Coordinating with a friend who’s helping photograph/describe
Quick Tips
- Scheduled ads still count toward any daily/weekly posting limits (if any exist).
- You can change the scheduled date later — edit the ad → adjust time → save.
- If you forget and the ad doesn’t appear on time: Check “Meine Anzeigen” → look for scheduled status → republish manually.
- No automatic reminders — set your own phone reminder if important.
