Why Verification Is Required

  • Confirms you are a real person and not a bot
  • Enables secure login and password recovery
  • Allows contact features (messaging, phone visibility)
  • Is mandatory before you can post any listings
  • Required for Trusted Seller applications

Step-by-Step Verification Process

  1. Immediately After Registration
    Once you click “Register” or “Create Account,” markto.ch automatically sends verification requests:
  • SMS to your phone (primary and fastest)
  • Email confirmation (backup or additional check)
  1. Phone Verification (SMS OTP)
  • You receive a text message from markto.ch with a 6-digit code (e.g., 483920).
  • The message usually arrives within 10–30 seconds (faster with good signal).
  • On the registration screen, a field appears asking for the code.
  • Enter the 6 digits exactly as received and click Verify or Confirm. Important notes for phone verification:
  • Use a valid Swiss mobile number (+41 prefix) for best results.
  • International numbers may work but can be slower or blocked.
  • If you’re using a virtual number or VoIP service, it may not receive SMS reliably.
