Profile Not Updating? Troubleshooting Sync Issues

If changes you make to your profile on markto.ch (name, photo, bio, location, preferences, etc.) are not appearing immediately — or not showing to other users — it’s usually a temporary sync, cache, or browser issue. These problems are common and almost always fixable without contacting support.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting – Try in This Order

  1. Refresh the Page Multiple Times
  • Press Ctrl + F5 (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to force a hard refresh (bypasses cache).
  • Wait 10–30 seconds and refresh again.
  • Check both your own profile view and how it appears in search results or ads.
  1. Log Out and Log Back In
  • Click your profile icon → Log Out.
  • Close the browser tab completely.
  • Re-open markto.ch → log in again.
  • Most profile sync issues resolve here — the server reloads your latest data on fresh login.
  1. Clear Browser Cache & Cookies for markto.ch
  • In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → select “Cached images and files” + “Cookies” → time range “Last hour” or “All time” → Clear data.
