Merging Multiple Accounts (If Allowed)
markto.ch does not currently offer a built-in feature to merge multiple accounts. This means you cannot officially combine two or more accounts (e.g., transfer listings, messages, favorites, or profile data from one to another) through any self-service tool or button in the settings.
Why Merging Is Usually Not Allowed
- Most classified platforms (including markto.ch) treat each account as a separate identity for security, privacy, and anti-abuse reasons.
- Merging could allow bypassing limits, duplicating verified status, or complicating moderation.
- The platform’s design focuses on one primary account per person.
What You Can Do Instead
Option 1: Choose One Account and Keep It
- Pick the account with the most value (e.g., more listings, better profile, Trusted Seller status, or active messages).
- Log in to the “winning” account.
- Manually transfer important data if needed:
- Screenshot or copy-paste key messages/conversations.
- Re-post active listings from the old account to the new one (delete them from the old account first to avoid duplicates).
- Update profile info (name, photo, bio, location) to match your preferred setup.
- Delete or deactivate the unused account(s) (see “Deleting or Deactivating Your markto.ch Account”).
Option 2: Contact Support to Request Assistance
While automatic merging isn’t available, support may help in rare cases (especially if accounts were created by mistake or you can prove ownership of both).
- Log in to your preferred (main) account.
- Go to the footer → click Contact or Support.
- Send a clear message including:
- Both email addresses associated with the accounts
- A brief explanation: “I accidentally created two accounts and would like to merge them if possible. The main account is [[email protected]]. Can you assist or advise?”
- Any proof of ownership (e.g., approximate creation dates, recent listings)
- Wait for a reply (usually 1–3 business days).
- They may:
- Transfer specific data manually (rare)
- Delete one account after confirmation
- Advise you to keep one and delete the other
- In most cases, they will confirm merging is not supported and guide you to choose one.
Important Rules & Warnings
- Do non try to use multiple accounts simultaneously for the same purpose (e.g., posting the same item twice) — this can be flagged as spam or duplicate listings and may lead to suspension.
- If one account has Trusted Seller status, prioritize keeping that one.
- Never share passwords between accounts — treat each as separate.
- If support does not allow merging, the cleanest path is selecting one account and deleting the rest.

Merging is not allowed as a standard feature on markto.ch. Your best option is to pick one account, migrate any important information manually, and delete the others. Contact support only if the situation is urgent or involves verified/important data.
