Previewing Your Ad Before Publishing – What Buyers Will See on markto.ch
markto.ch lets you preview your ad exactly as it will appear to buyers before you publish it. This step helps catch typos, missing photos, unclear descriptions, or wrong contact settings.
How to Preview Your Ad
- Start creating or editing an ad
Log in → click “Anzeige aufgeben” / “Post Ad” (or edit an existing one in “Meine Anzeigen”). - Fill in all fields
Title, description, price, category, location, photos, condition, contact details. - Find the preview button
At the bottom of the form (usually near “Veröffentlichen” / “Publish”):
- Look for “Vorschau” / “Preview”
- Or “Anzeige anzeigen wie Käufer sie sehen” / “View as buyer would see”
- Click it → opens a new tab or window showing the ad exactly as it will look live.
- What the preview shows buyers
The preview displays the public view — identical to what anyone browsing markto.ch sees (logged in or not). It includes:
- Title (big and bold at top)
- Price (prominently shown)
- Photos (in gallery/carousel, first photo as main image)
- Description (full text, line breaks preserved)
- Item details (condition, brand, year, size, etc. — as filled)
- Location (city/region you selected)
- Contact options (only what you chose to show):
- Phone number (if you checked “anzeigen”)
- WhatsApp button/link (if added)
- “Nachricht senden” / “Send message” button (platform form)
- Email (if visible)
- Seller info (your username or first name, join date if shown)
- Ad metadata (posted date, views counter placeholder, “Neu” / “New” badge if applicable)
- Category & subcategory (breadcrumbs at top) Important: The preview does non show:
- Your full email or hidden phone number
- Any private notes or drafts
- Real-time view counts or favorites (those appear after publishing)
- After previewing
- Go back to edit → fix anything (photos, text, price, contact settings).
- Preview again until perfect.
- When ready → click “Veröffentlichen” / “Publish” (or schedule for later if desired).
Quick Checklist Before Hitting Publish
- Title clear and specific?
- First photo attractive and well-lit?
- Description honest + detailed (condition, defects, what’s included)?
- Price realistic?
- Contact method matches your preference (e.g. WhatsApp only)?
- Location correct (helps local buyers find you)?
- No typos or formatting issues?
- Previewed and happy with how it looks to strangers?
A good preview saves you from editing after publishing (which can confuse early viewers) and helps your ad stand out in searches.
